Korean Temple Food cooking class

Because normal Korean cooking is easy if you can read recipes and get the correct ingredients we did a special temple food cooking class today. We saw Venerable Sun Jae cooking in Culinary Class Wars on TV and were super impressed by what she did cook without animal products, no garlic, no onion, no dairy, no animal side products at all. Stricter than being vegan and obviously the food is still so tasty, because she got quite far in the competition. You can book the class directly at the temple food center in Insadong.

Today’s ingredients. Super simple.

Today’s menu was Mallow Soybean Paste Soup (Auk-Doenjang-Guk) and stir fried Tofu Noodles (Dubu-Myeon-Bok Keum).

The food was so delicious. After all this meat dishes and BBQs it was delightful to eat something so tasty and vegetarian.
