Seongeup Folk Village

It’s amazing, people still live in some of these old traditional Jeju houses. when we parked the car a woman came up and started talking to us and to follow her. We felt a bit awkward first but followed her. And she was so friendly and nice telling us about the history of the Village, the Doll Hareubang and showing us her old hundreds of years old family house and the house she now lives in. She told us the village is now specialising in Jeju Oranges and fermented tea. Jeju is known for its Oranges, Carrots and black pork.

Unglaublich, aber es leben immer noch Menschen in diesen alten traditionellen Häusern. Als wir das Auto parkten kam eine Frau auf uns zu und sagte wir sollen Ihr folgen. Erst haben Wirkung ein bisschen komisch gefühlt, aber sie war so freundlich und nett. Sie hat uns über die Geschichte des Dorfes erzählt, die Doll Hareubang und hat uns sogar ihr hunderte Jahre altes Familienhaus und ihr neues Haus in dem sie jetzt lebt gezeigt. Sie hat uns erzählt, dass sich das Dorf heutzutage auf Orangen und fermentierten Tee spezialisiert hat. Jeju ist bekannt für seine Orangen, Karotten und schwarze Schweine.
