The day before lantern festival for Buddhas Birthday we went to Jogyesa Temple around the corner of our Hotel in Insadong. They already started to prepare for the main events and we nearly didn’t find the temple because of all the lanterns. 😂. All main activities in Seoul for Buddhas Birthday happen to be in the area around the temple. The 2,5 hours Lantern parade on Saturday does end at Jogyesa temple. On Sunday there are lots of free activities offered on the street that Leeds to the temple.
Am Tag vor dem Lichterfest für Buddhas Geburtstag waren wir im Jogyesa Tempel direkt um die Ecke unseres Hotels in Insadong. Man hat dort wie überall bereits für den Hauptevent, das Lichterfest dekorieret. Vor lauter Laternen haben wir erst den Tempel nicht gefunden. 😂 Alle Hauptaktivitäten in Seoul zu Buddhas Geburtstag finden hier um den Tempel in Insadong statt. Auch die 2,5 Stunden lange Lichterparade endet am Tempel. Am Sonntag werden auf der Straße zum Tempel zahlreiche kostenfreie Aktivitäten angeboten.
