Gyeongju Tombs – die Gräber von Gyeongju

Man kann vor lauter Bäumen die Gräber nicht richtig sehen 😂 can’t see the tombs through all the trees. 😂

Die Gräber sehen simple aus, wie einfache, riesige Grashügel. Hier in Gyeongju 13 Stück aus der 600 Jahre anhaltenden Silla Herrschaft (400 bis 1000 a.d) . Wir sind zuerst in die Ausstellung zu den Gräbern gegangen um die Geschichte und den Aufbau zu lernen. Mega interessant.

The tombs look pretty simple from the outside, like big grass hills. They’ve got 13 tombs here in Gyeongju from 600 Years of Silla Dynasty (400-1000 a.c). To understand the structure and the history of the tombs we started with the exhibition. Very interesting.

Die Gräber haben einen Holzkern mit dem Körper und Grabbeigaben. Drumherum ist eine Holzkonstruktion, die mit Steinen aufgefüllt wird. Dann kommen drei verschieden Arten von Lehm obendrauf.

The tombs have an inner wooden core with the body and relics. Then an outer wood structure filled with stones. Topped up with 3 different types of clay.

Die Gräber wurden erst 1920 durch Zufall von Kindern beim Spielen und finden von antiken Glasscherben entdeckt. Bei den Ausgrabungen des Cheonmachong Grabes fand man heraus, dass es des Grab eines Königs der Silla Dynastie war, da man eine goldene Krone und goldene Kleiderverzierungen und hochrangige Grabbeigaben fand.

Kids found the graves in 1920 while playing and finding antique glass pieces. When opening the Cheonmachong tomb they found out it was the grave of a king of Silla Dynasty, as they found the golden crowns and several golden clothes applications and valuable relics.

Cheonmachong, dieses Grab hat man für Touristen zum Betreten geöffnet und fand oben gezeigte Reliquien. Ursprünglich wollten sie das große Grab mit 2 Hügeln öffnen, dazu war man aber 1920 nicht fähig. Wer weiß was dort und in den restlichen 11 Gräbern noch versteckt ist. 🤔🤔

Cheonmachong: they opened up this tomb for tourists, and they found former mentioned relics. Originally they wanted to open the big tomb with the two grave hills, but were not able to do it in 1920. who knows what is still hidden there and the left 11 tombs.
